To be very honest, I strongly believe in 'Aham brahmaasami.' I think that is the right idea to me. But I am not ready to blame or wright off our culture. I think we have to do lot of things in the world as a part of our life. So we have to be social. Our culture belongs from the great epics of Ramayana & Mahabharatha, so we have to follow them, that gave us a good way of lifestyle and lot of Gods & temples as well. We can't live alone and for only one goal.
In Thiruvliwamala, here we have temples for almost all gods, churches and mosques is well . Yes all these spiritual enshrines have to play a big role in the society. I think the festivals of these temples could make Thiruvilawmala village higher and higher . These festivals ensure the integrity and co-ordination between different persons and different cultures, also effect in cast and religion system in good way.
As far as Thiruvilwamala concerned, we are very lucky to have big occassions for festival like 'Parakottukav Thalapoli' , 'Vilwadrinatha Kshethra Ekadahshi', more than ten small temples thalapolis, Punrjani Noozhal, Vilwadrinathan temple Niramala, Mariyamman poojas of different parts of the village, etc.

Among all, Parakottukav Thalapoli is the perfect occassion for festival lovers. Every year people coming from different places of Kerala, from the nieghbour states, and also the foreigners.
